THE WORLD OF BLACK AND WHITE The sky is streaked with great clouds of gray. Gone are the sun's gentle rays. Shadows haunt the path ahead, And the trees moan and droop, their leaves all shed. Yet amongst this world of black and white, From the clouds peaks a fragile light. The beauty of a single ray, warming up the earth. Amongst the world of sadness, just a hint of mirth. The beam of light is cast upon a tortured soul, Within the depths of their heart, an empty hole. The ray caresses them, lifts them up from their torment, Out of their loneliness, and gives them a friend. The ray lights up the world of black and white, Gives it colour, gives it life. Hope is returned to the world of despair, And the soul is now happy, just because somebody cared.
This is a poem abt kindness, and how much difference 1 word of care can make (the sun ray is the kindness) by Inej
