Hi! Welcome to Chapter two!! Chapter two: Bateye's eyes fluttered open as the morning sun rose in the sky, Swanfeather was purring softly next to him, so he slowly slipped away from beside her and walked out of the den. He yawned, stretched and went for a small walk around camp. "Morning, Bateye!", a tall brown tom said as he dropped off a mouse at the fresh-kill pile. "Oh morning, Pineshadow", Bateye responded turning to face the tom. "How was hunting?", Bateye asked looking at the kill pile where Pineshadow had dropped off the mouse, "Pretty good, but it's been better", Pineshadow said as he also looked at the kill pile, it had enough prey to feed the clan, but it had been bigger. "Bateye?", "Sounds like Deertalon is looking for me", Bateye said and turned to Pineshadow, "Well it was nice to talk to you Pineshadow, I'll see you later", he said and started walking away, "Yeah see ya", Pineshadow called. {} "Yes, Deertalon?", Bateye asked when he met the tom in front of the warrior den. "I was wondering if you've seen Shadowleaf", Deertalon asked, "I'm sorry but I haven-", just then Bateye was cut off by a female cat in the distance, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey to gather beneath the Highrock", it was Silkstar, "Clan meeting", Bateye murmured, by now all the cats were up and gathering around Highrock. Bateye found Deertalon, Swanfeather, and Shadowleaf in the crowd of cats, he sat next to them waiting to hear what Silkstar had to say. "Good Morning fellow Sun Clan cats, today we celebrate to birth of two new kits, as well as four new apprentices!", Silkstar said happily, then she continued, "Hollybranch has just had two kits, a tom and a she-kit, the tom is Smokekit and the she-kit is Lilackit", Silverstar said. "Next we have four kits becoming apprentices", "Berrykit step forward, you have reached the age of six moons, and it's apprenticed. From this day until you receive your warrior name you will be know as Berrypaw, your mentor shall be Swanfeather", Silkstar said and did the same thing to the other three cats. At the end of the meeting all the cats in the clan cheered for the four new apprentices, "Berrypaw, Lavenderpaw, Cederpaw, Birchpaw", the clan cheered. {} The next day the new apprentices went with their mentors, Berrypaw with Swanfeather, Cederpaw with Pineshadow, Birchpaw with Bateye, and Lavenderpaw with Shadowleaf, to start training, "So are you ready for training, Birchpaw?", Bateye asked walking with Birchpaw to the hunting ground to teach him how to hunt, "Yeah!", Birchpaw said, when the got to the hunting grounds there was a rustle in the bush, "Who's their?", Bateye asked getting ready to pounce.
