Eclipse stood up. "M-master! You're back!" He noticed Death's Eye, as well as another Black Arm Alien with him, which he assumed was Nova's dad. Eclipse swallowed. "Nova, I told you not to do that!" Black Death looked like he was about to jump on Nova. "You specifically promised you wouldn't, as well! I'm disappointed with you!" Nova just cowered next to the rock he was by. "...It was just Eclipse..." "Just Eclipse?! That is my memory that I have not told anyone about, and I would like to keep it that way!" Black Death let out a heaped sigh. "Your father will deal with you later. Are you ok?" "I... think so..." Nova stood up and looked at the ground. "I'm sorry, Master." "Thank you for apologizing, but keep in mind that I will have a harder time trusting you for the time being." Black Death frowned, but he was more hurt than angry. "Let's go, Nova." Nova's dad lead him away and back into the main body of the comet. Black Death turned to Eclipse. "As for you..." Eclipse flinched. "Don't hang out with Nova for a while. Forget what he said before." Black Death gestured to Death's Eye to get its attention. "Take Eclipse to his room. He will stay there until I say he can leave." "But Master--!" Eclipse began to protest, but Death's Eye wrapped its tentacles around his arms and started pushing him away. "Wait!" Later, Death's Eye flouted in the center of Eclipse's room, watching him. "Let. Me. OUT!" Eclipse tried running past Death's Eye but was pushed onto his bed. "Ugh! Please? I have to help Nova!" Death's Eye shook its body in a "no" motion. "Just listen! I made Nova do it. It was my fault. Don't hurt him." Eclipse looked desperately at Death's Eye. "Please..." Black Death came in. "Eclipse?" Eclipse looked away. "What do you want?" "You can come out now." Eclipse looked back. "What about Nova?" "Did you really force him to tell you?" Black Death seemed like he wasn't buying it. "Yes!" He paused. "Will I be in lots of trouble...?" Black Death let out a small chuckle. "Eclipse... I'm letting you two off the hook for now. You both are very special compared to other Darklings." "Me?" Eclipse sat still, not expecting what was happening. "Yes. You especially didn't know better. Nova, yes, but he has to learn how to control his powers. You're both young and deserve a chance. Next time, however, I won't be so kind." Black Death smiled at Eclipse, who was still frozen. "No catch, I won't have the soldiers beat you up." "W-what?" Eclipse's eyes got bigger. Black Death let out another laugh. "I'm kidding! That was an older method." "So... you got... t-that as a kid?" "Of course not! I mean REALLY old. Before me, before a lot of aliens here. Those were the dark ages after all." "Oh." Eclipse sighed with relief. "Come here." Black Death held out his arms and gave Eclipse a hug. "Thanks. Although... I have a question." Eclipse wiggled out of the hug. "Can I have some food? I'm super hungry." Black Death's eyes sparkled with a bit of mischief. "Race you to the cafeteria."
