READ THE WARNING >:000 (Click/Space) 1. Warning 2-3. The breeding pair, Jack and Jill last year (ok I know technically in the nursery rhyme Jack and Jill are siblings BUT I MADE SURE THIS PAIR WASNT XD) 4-5. Baby mantis I found in the grass, not sure if it came from one of Jill’s oothecas (she laid 3) 6-7. The birdhouse ootheca hatching! (Other 2 haven’t hatched yet, I’ll update this project once they do) 8. Jay the baby mantis! (I kept 5 from this ootheca) 9. I think Wren? (We named these babies after birds bc they hatched on a birdhouse) 10. Sparrow :) 11. The hundreds of babies in a ziplock bag while we were choosing the most friendly to keep 12-13. Some pics I took with my camera of one of the babies we released back outside again from the bag XD That’s all so far! Watch out for more updates soon. I’m hoping today I can go to Petco and get some flightless fruit flies to feed them! Edit: I got the fruit flies! I’m pretty sure all of the babies have eaten!

I had a really special connection with Jill, she was really weak when I first found her, but I rescued her and found her a mate and now she lives on in her babies :’D) btw, the purpose of this breeding project is to hopefully up the survival rate of the babies I’m keeping, I’ll try to help them make it through the first molt which is very hard on them usually! Btw again, we saved Jack right when they finished m@t1ng so he didn’t get eaten :)
