Dhaka City Broadcasting ("ঢাকা সিটি ব্রডকাস্টিং" in Bengali) DCB ("ডিসিবি") for short, is a Bangladeshi television station, operating as a 16:9 576i station on VHF channel 12. It was originally launched in late 2000 as competition to the more popular BTV station, as BTV only broadcasted in Bengali, while DCB planned to begin broadcasting in both Bengali and English, similarly to ABS-CBN and their system of occasionally switching between Tagalog and English. Test operations began in early 2001, before the station began rolling out stationary towers in Chittagong and Dhaka in mid 2003. From 2010 onwards, DCB has become an active partner of BTV, helping them with running low-power stations in rural areas of the country. [THIS IS ALL A WORK OF FICTION, OBVIOUSLY.]
