Hmmkay so these are me magic cats! yay. I dunno how much I'll really be doing with this story idea but it kinda fits the topic--it's kind of a lot like City of Ember. Here it is if you're really interested: So there's this society of cats living in this kind of underground world, probably called Eschra? (From an idea I had a while ago where they could change which way was up), and they're cats and the main way they can do anything/lift anything without opposable thumbs/etc., is thanks to these little blue gem-things called Azarine (singular is Azarin), which, when eaten/etc., give the cats sort of telekinesis from certain distances. (This is what you see with the glowiness around the clipboard and pencil.) Other types of Azarine do things like, say, provide light, make and control weather within the underground world, etc. There might be multiple countries/etc. within that world, I dunno for sure. Anyways, sometimes the Azarine will do more than give cats the ability to say, grab things, and it will do it from birth/without cats having to eat it. Somehow a certain few of the cats will get the ability to do similar things to the Azarine, and they are known as Azarin holders, more often called Rinholds or the Gifted. Rinholds will have Azarin-like patterns on them, often in the shape of what they do. By the time this story starts, the government of this world/country/I dunno for sure yet seeks out Rinholds and, once they reach the age of 12 cat-years, tries to train them at a special school, hopefully so that they'll be employed "for the good of Eschra." It's all a little suspicious. So, after that background, there are these 2 cousins-- Prism and Azarina. Both are strong Rinholds--Prism has the ability to change and control the path of light, while Azarina (AKA Azzie) has the amazing, near-unprecedented ability to make and control Azarine. This comes at an especially convenient time, because around the time she's coming of age for the training, some of the Azarine around Eschra are starting to fail. This is worrying because the Azarine are often quite literally what holds Eschra together-- various parts of the city are floating in the air underground. So if the 'rine failed, it would be a complete disaster on many levels. ANyways, so not all the Rineholds end up in the special school--if their abilities aren't "useful" enough, they don't really get to come in, and if current members of the school don't seem to be improving at all for months, they may get kicked out. When Azzie comes to start the school, she's pretty much a shoo-in, but Prism, who's a year her senior and going into her second year there, has noticed some suspicious things about the school and decided to hide her progress with her abilities, trying to avoid manipulation. This leads to the school leaders reconsidering whether she should get kicked out. So this animation is pretty much them testing whether she's improved and she doesn't want to leave because she wants to find out the truth and she wants to help Azzie acclimate and she dOESN'T want to go back and be a so she turns herself and Azzie (who's watching) invisible (she can do that, it's actually one of the simpler things for her (but the tester doesn't know that)--she just has to make light go through them as if they were air.) and the tester guy is like "what... ok yeah that's progress" and yeh. whoo congrats for reading all that! Have a cookie! No I'm not saying what happens next. At least not right now. :)
