PROLOUGE Leonard was out on his morning walk in the Sahara Desert. He did it every day. He loved his walks. The sand crunching softly on his feet. The cool breeze of the wind slapped his cheek playfully. Today was like every other day, he thought. The sand was still, like always. The breeze was chilly, like always. The sun was rising just above the horizon, like always. But as the sun rose, the silhouette of a man started to appear. It wasn't just any ordinary man, however, the size of the man was absurdly large! The man looked about the size of the Eifel tower. As the sun kept rising, the man's image kept getting clearer. Messy, black hair, and big green eyes. He was wearing a weathered suit, filled with scratches and tears. The man looked down at Leonard. "Boy, what is your name?" his voiced filled the desert like a football stadium, but something in his voice made Leonard think that he wasn't being threatened. "L-l-leonard, b-but my friends call me Leo." Leonard stuttered. He still couldn't believe the size of the man standing in front of him. Questions were flooding into Leonard's head. "W-who are you?" "I am Odin, a Greengridge (pronounced Green-Grid-dge) Giant. I might be one of the last of my kind." He stared at the ground in sorrow. Leonard's fear was now gone, and flooded with curiosity. "Greengridge? Last of your kind? Tell me more, Odin!" Odin looked at Leonard. "Very well. Sit on the sand, and by sundown, you will know my story." PART 1 - Jackule "A few weeks ago, I lived on the planet Jackule (pronounced Jack-cool), and on Jackule there were four main species of giants: Muglump, Heathos, Glacierite, and Greengridge. Each species of giant had a special power that only their species could do. Muglumps lived underwater, and they could summon water from anywhere, as long as there was water on the planet. Heathos giants had the power of fire. They could light a match with their fingertips. Glacierites had the power of ice. They could freeze anything they wanted to. Then there were us Greengridges. We had the power of nature. We would know how every living thing felt. We could also summon rocks. "It was a very harmonious place. Every giant could do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. The best part is, that every giant treated other giants equally, no matter what their differences were. "Some giants didn't like this. They wanted to have all the power, while having everyone else under their control. Those giants were called Bullies. Bullies were once ordinary giants just like me. But they wanted power. More power than anyone could imagine. They were spread far and wide across Jackule." "So what did they do? Leonard asked. By now it was noon, and the sun had just reached to the center of the sky. PART 2 - The War "One day, the Bullies attacked Jackule. All of the giants resisted and faught back. The battle lasted 5-6 days. Then, the giants grew tired of fighting them over and over. The bullies sent out a worldwide message: If you bow down to me, you will be fine. If you choose to fight me, then Jackule will be lost." "Wait, what do you mean by lost?" Leonard asked. "At first, we didn't know what it meant. Most of us chose to fight them. After an hour, we felt the whole planet start to shake. The shake was so bad that it wiped out 75% of our population. Those of us that survived tried to escape using Flight Planes. Little did we know that the Bullies had Flight Planes too. It was an aerial battle. But the bullies weren't trying to attack us. They were trying to attack what meant the world to us: Jackule. "They were firing at the planet itself. I wanted to fight back, but I knew there was nothing I could do. So I fled. I fled far into the galaxy. There was nothing I could do. Jackule was lost." PART 3 - Back Here Again "Soon I came across your planet. Earth. It's greenness reminded me of the part of Jackule I used to live in. Now I've been stuck here for the past 3 days looking for someone to help me." "So you think that I can help you......" Leonard said half-thinking to himself. "But how?" "Back on Jackule, there was an ancient scroll I read. It said that any living thing can unlock it's true power, the living thing just needs to find it. If you can master your true power, then you can help me take down the Bullies." Odin explained. Leonard beamed at him. "Sounds like a fair deal. I'm in! Here, you can come to my house. You look pretty worn out." With that, Leonard and Odin began walking across the Sahara Desert while the sun was gently floating down the horizon. Thanks for reading! I hope you liked it! Wanna finish the story? Thank you, @ceebee , for making the beautiful pixel art! [I added the sun] Inspiration from Ninjago. Song: Warriors by Imagine Dragons Thoughts on story: While this is a wonderful fictional story, I wanted to incorporate real-life things. As you might have noticed, there were the Bullies. I wanted the Bullies to act like bullies would normally act in real life. A bully always wanted power. But, like in real life, people can resist them. Also, as a small detail, I added equality of other giants. This is such a big deal in real life, because other people are not being treated fairly, because of their religion, nationality, and other things. If things were so perfect in real life, everyone would respect each other, like the giants did in the story.
