Note from @1-o-v-e: Hello! I've been looking back on some of the really cool daydream map parts that were made when this map originally came out, and I thought to myself, why not try to get this map finished? it would be a shame for all those beautiful parts to just gather dust. So, (after checking with wist first), here I am ^^ I'm really excited to help try and finish this many-years-old project, and see how things go! :) Note from @x-squared: As you can see, i’m hosting a MAP (multi-animator-project). The song is from Saint Motel, and it’s one that I really love to listen to—and honestly one that i wanted to animate to at one point in my life…but probably can’t due to the sliver of time that i have to do ANYTHING lol the song itself is divided up into three parts (for those of you who know the actual title of the song you know exactly what i’m talking about), but for the sake of scratch i did not use the names that are used in the music, instead opting for “afternoon,” “dusk,” and “dawn.” * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Rules: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * > Note from Marsh: All rules from Wist's original hosting are going to be kept in order to uphold a cohesive vision and final product. :) ***** A note on thumbnails: ***** thumbnails are open to anyone. it is a contest; may the best one win :) ***** A note on tryout parts: ***** you *don't* need to submit/fill out the form for a tryout part (I would rather you not). However, when i eventually choose which version goes in the map i will consider how well they followed the rules as a factor. please still read & follow the rules. >> tryout entries from before the rehost will still be considered, too. [there weren't that many though :P] **PLEASE READ THE RULES/SUGGESTIONS THAT ARE IN THE PALETTE SPRITE, AS WELL AS THE "SPECIAL NOTES" FOR SPECIFIC PARTS, NOT JUST THE ONES HERE.** [This is REQUIRED] --RULES-- 1) I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY PLAGIARISM OR TRACING. however, using references for art, etc. are fine—just make sure to give credit where needed. make sure that the artwork or animation is yours. 2) i will NOT let everyone in. PLEASE DO NOT GUILT-TRIP, SPAM, ETC. - *note: some art/animation styles will work better in some parts more than others. if i see that you’re qualified for a part but feel that your style may work better with another subdivision (the three “parts”), i may suggest a part from another subdivision (unless the subdivision is full—i will just let you take that part if that is the case). if this happens, no pressure to take it at all; it is simply a suggestion, and if you have a good idea for the part you applied to, by all means go for it :) (make sure to reply saying yes or no if i do this though) 3) when you apply for a part OR for backup, please type the codeword, the part you would like, whether you’re taking an AMV or PMV approach [the map is open to both pmv and amv animators/artists, meaning it doesn’t have to be fully animated :)], and LINK two of your best projects. if you’re applying for PMV, link your best art pieces. if you’re going for AMV, link your best animations. (if you can’t decide have one art piece and one animation, or link an animation that has art) -*note: codeword must be put in by everyone, regardless of whether you were invited or not; it’s how i’m checking if you read the rules 4) try to refrain from lyric animating, and please try to focus the animation on character plot and emotions. in fact, if there’s a certain scene from your oc storyline you’re going to base your map part off of, please link a project that shows this storyline and/or describe the general idea of the scene 5) the real codeword is inside the rules/palette sprite. disregard anything else i say regarding the codeword in this description. anything from this desc. will not be the correct word. 6) whoever i give the part to first will get the part. if you want to animate that part but you weren’t accepted into the map, please be aware that i will not be including it in the final map (UNLESS the person assigned the part drops out and i see your part as a good alternative). this rule does not apply to tryout map parts—anyone can animate to those, but I will be choosing who gets featured based on the quality of the animation. 7) animals/furries, humanoids, etc. are allowed—however, no fandom animating. make sure that the characters are yours and/or you have permission from the creator of the ocs to animate the map part with them 8) codeword is ratatouille, please attempt to discreetly incorporate it into your application 9) as it says in the rules/palette sprite, you MAY stray off the palette, but only use colors that still work with the general color scheme (aka no bright colors or anything that clearly stands out from the rest of the palette) 10) please remix the project or comment the link when finished with the (assigned or tryout) part, or thumbnail entry, so that it’s easier to navigate. 11) lastly, have fun!
