I followed a tabby through the forest.The tabby’s fur was a shade of light gray and he had white markings.His blue eyes studied everything around us.I looked around,taking in everything.The forest was beautiful.Gentle breezes moved the trees so that they swayed in unison.The fall leaves crunched under our paws,making a satisfying sound.I looked at the tabby again. “What’s your name?”I asked casually. He looked back at me. “Griffin,” “Mine’s Hollythorn.” “Cool name.” “Thanks,”Welp,that was the end of that conversation.Griffin turned his head and started walking again.I sighed and followed him. “Where are we going exactly?”I asked. He sighed. “Be quiet please.” “Why?”I meowed as loudly as I could. “Is this bothering you?” Griffin growled and meowed “Shut up!” I stopped for a second,then realized that he was teasing me. “Hey!” Griffin laughed. “You're funny, you know that?” “My sister tells me all the time.”I gasped for air after me and Griffin laughed for a few minutes. “Well,we’re here.”I looked around. “Where?” Suddenly Griffin’s paws started glowing.He set it against the bushes in front of us.The bushes glowed and moved back. He looked at me. “Don’t act so surprised.Every cat in the Resistance has powers.” I followed him reluctantly. I found Jayflight by one of the rivers. So many trees surrounded the clearing.Jayflight was talking to someone.I crept closer. “Goldenmoon’s in the Dark Forest?!” I gasped and quickly shut my mouth.Jayflight and the other cat didn’t look in my direction so I assumed I was safe. “It appears so.”Another cat,female,meowed. Jayflight sighed. “I never thought..” “You can’t fight destiny.” I padded quietly towards the bushes near the two cats.When I saw them I almost gasped again.Jayflight had cuts all over and his fur was knotted.He looked like he hadn’t slept in days.The cat sitting across from him had the same color fur and eyes,except she had white markings under her eyes. Jayflight looked up. “I guess we have to start preparing.” The she-cat nodded and stood. “I’ll get started.” Jayflight looked at her and hesitated. “Tori,” Tori looked back at him. “I don’t want to…” “Kill Goldenmoon?You have to,it's part of the prophecy.” “I should have stopped her.”He shook his head. Tori looked at him lovingly. “Good-bye,Ivywing.”And she disappeared.Jayflight sighed again and turned towards the forest.I came out from behind the bushes. He didn’t see me at first,but then I stepped on a twig and he looked up.I closed my eyes,mad at myself.Then I looked at Jayflight.He was looking at me directly. “Sorry.”I moved my paw slightly across the ground. Jayflight sighed and turned away. “Y-you’re not mad at me?" I said hopefully.He started walking in the other direction. “Hello?”I meowed and followed him.
