He had a crush on Lilypaw/pelt as a young tom. Now, he is old, and reserved. His heart is locked away, and he is not willing to hand it out so easily. He struggles with heartbreak, and will soon waste his life having never found someone - anyone - to love. Luckily, a young kit shows up at his doorstep, and Cave begins to heal...
[][][] S-c-r-i-p-t-! [][][] Cave, a young loner, meets a Clan cat, (Lilypaw) and falls in love with her at first sight. But being a shy and reserved young tom, he doesn't goes out to approach her. Lilypaw's close friend, a tom named (Orchardpaw) suspects Cave for liking Lilypaw. Orchardpaw is jealous, because he himself has feelings for Lilypaw. Some moons later, Cave musters the courage to meet and greet Lilypaw. All looks well for the two of them...until Orchardpaw comes along. He strikes a deal with Cave, proposing that if Cave can catch him one piece of prey per day, then they would become friends. Young Cave is hungry for a friend, someone to feel close to. He agrees without realising what would happen next. Lilypaw and Cave meet up every moon to chat. Cave is desperate to share his feelings for her, but can't bring himself to do it. Meanwhile, the three Clans of the island, TideClan (which resides along the southern and part of the western shore and some moorland), PeakClan (which resides in the high ranges in the center of the island) and CarvenClan (which resides in the grasslands and the small woods of the island), are at the brink of war. Chaos breaks out, and Lilypaw is wounded in the battle. If it were not for Orchardpaw, struggling against a huge TideClan warrior, Cave would've seen Lilypaw fighting for life. But he only saw Orchardpaw. After successfully defeating the warrior together with Orchardpaw, Cave suddenly finds Lilypaw, near-death. He manages to stop her losing any more bl00d, all by himself! But now Orchardpaw takes the stage, and pretends to save her life. Lilypaw recovers, and she and Orchardpaw recieve their full names in honor of fighting so well: Lilytree and Orchardstep. Some moons later, Cave finally musters the courage to ask Lilytree out. He gathers flowers and waits for a perfect night... and ya thats it so far
