Heya everyone! So, as you can probably guess by now, I haven’t worked on Chaotic Encounters. Like at all. Chapter 6 was 3 months ago, and I only did ONE panel for chapter 7. Let me explain why. Basically, I realized the world building needed some major improvements. I started fleshing things out during the writing process of chapter 7, and I really enjoy how everything is going into place! However, all my character designs tie into that. Most of the cast wears hoodies, and after settling on a climate for the main settings, I realized the designs made NO sense. First off, Treetop coast is basically a tropical island. So hoodies wouldn’t make sense especially when Cloudy and the others would get teleported. Then, the designs were so basic that It made the panel drawing process unenjoyable. I didn’t vibe with the hair shapes of the characters because I would constantly get them off model and they would look weird. So, what’s next? I’m rebooting the series again. Look, I know that is really strange of me when I haven’t even finished the first reboot. However, a new reader would probably get confused on why the outfits of the main cast suddenly changed. So the cast of the A plot is getting much needed redesigns! You’ll see them in my pride month project! That does mean I would have to make new refs tho… and that takes a hell out of me… :[ Besides, I need to fix the writing anyway! The first 2 chapters are kinda weak looking back. Also the comic needs a new name.., CE isn’t bad, it’s just I don’t think It represents the main themes of the story. Yet I’m terrible at coming up with names for stuff. It’s a 50/50 for me.. So, I’m really stuck. I redrew a panel from Ch. 2 so you guys can see Cloudy’s redesign! I made the hair shapes more unified and a cool T-Shirt! :D
