Instructions

This is kinda bad, so here's the lyrics: Dred Scott was born into slavery He was bought and brought to places Like Missouri, Illinois, and Wisconsin Territory Two of which slavery was illegal there He married Harriet during this period His owner dies when they returned Scott asks to buy his freedom And was refused by the widow He and his wife filed lawsuits With help from antislavery lawyers Case was brought to court and kept going up And they were denied freedom they were not US citizens was the reason why And Roger B. Taney makes a very bad choice And states that Congress had no power to Prohibited slavery in the US so The Missouri Compromise was unconstitutional This divided the North and South even more Because they had different opinions on slavery This was the Dred Scott Decision John Brown was a white settler from South And he was surprisingly antislavery He became a lifelong enemy of slavery At the age of 12 and beyond He married Dianthe Lusk in 1820 His children kept dying and his wife dies too He remarried in 1834 and struggled financially And after the muder of an abolitionist He brought his sons and murdered 5 Pro-slavery settlers which is known As the Pottawatomie Massacre Brown’s final act was raiding an arsenal Known as the Raid on Harpers Ferry He was caught and remained calm during trial But was hung for all his crimes in the final Different people see him as crazy or a hero North and South became divided even more Brown’s hatred of slavery started the Civil War Frederick Douglass was a slave Who taught himself to read and write He eventually escaped from slavery In a train and boat after a failed attempt He marries Anna in New York and attends an abolitionist meeting He said a speech that made tears and became an anti-slavery orator And traveled everywhere to deliver His moving speeches to abolitionists He released three autobiographies Which talked about the life of slaves He also attended Seneca Falls convention Frederick Douglass the abolitionist Constantly did speeches and meetings in his life until he died in 1895 The men who rebelled included many But this rap we made only has 3 Dred Scott, John Brown, and Frederick Douglass Without their help slavery wouldn’t go less And their contributions to ending slavery Will always be remembered because of their bravery
