The two kits ran as fast as they could. "Mudkit, hurry!!" yelled PebbelKit. "I-i cant!" Mudkit looked up to see two large talons, ready to scoop her up. "PEBBELKIT, HELP!" the hawk swooped up Mudkit and flew away. Pebbelkit could do nothing but watch and hear Mudkit's screams for help. "MUD KIIIIIT!!!!" Pebbelkit tried to chase the hawk, but it was no use. her sister was gone. She ran back to Poppyclan. "MUDKIT IS GONE!" She mewed. Every single cat in the territory looked at her. "GONE?!" Dewfeather rushed over to her. "What happened?!" "She was taken... by a HAWK!" tears rolled down her cheeks. Dewfeather looked into Pebbelkit's eyes. "Oh, Pebbelkit... it wasnt your fault..." Dewfeather said. "Yes it WAS! if i didnt go to the feilds it wouldnt have happened..." 3 moons later Dewfeather ran as fast as she could to the clan. "Pebbelkit! Mudkit isnt gone!" she said. "What? is she here?" Mudkit weakly walked out from behind Dewfeather. "I dont know how much time she has left. we need to hurry." They took her to the medicine cat's den. Soon after, the medicine cat stepped out. "Im sorry.." she said. Pebbelkit's eyes filled with tears. she ran into the den to see Mudkit lying on the moss bed, lifeless. "M-mudkit.... dont leave me here.." she mewed softly. Dewfeather walked in. "Pebbelkit... come on... we will talk about this later. you can watch starclan tonight, and say hello to Mudkit."
