Book 1: The Doomsday Castle Chapter 4: The Twins The last thing Staff thought would happen was that guards would come to their house. “Hello?” Staff asked. “Staff. Spear. Your prince demands your presence.” The guards said in usion. “Oh… okay…” Staff answered, and grabbed Spear’s shoulder. “Come on, Spear.” The two walked slowly after the guards, as they led them to the castle. The gates opened, and the guards escorted them up the stairs and through the long, red-carpeted rugs that lined the marble floors. The doors opened to the throne room, and prince Bow was slouched on his throne. He perked up when he saw Spear and Staff. “Hello! I need your help. I got a prophecy. You two! Are coming with me! On an adventure.” Bow shouted to them. “What prophecy?” Spear asked him. “Y’know, the whole: Four heroes from each side, shall fight till they decide, ten stones shall reign supreme, but two heroes shall fall into an endless dream, one shall trick the other side, resulting in one gaining power of an endless ride. nonsense.” Bow muttered. “The bad guys already have their four. We need four too. We’ll be three, and I’ll contact the dwarves to see if one will help us with this prophecy.” Spear and Staff were not adventurers. They were twins that wouldn’t cause any trouble or go on adventures. But the prince himself was asking… and if it meant that the dragons would lose, they were on board. “Okay.” Spear said. “Great. Meet me in the sacred forest.” Bow said in return, a glimmer in his eye. Far away from the human’s empire, there was a mine. But not a normal mine, the Dwarves largest mine, over thirty miles long. Smith was managing the pulley system that day, so when he had found the note in one of the delivery buckets from prince Bow himself, he thought he was lucky. He was not, as the note read that Bow was chosen to fight in the war against the elves, kobolds, and dragons. He had no choice in the matter. His only option was that he had to go to the sacred forest.
