The BlackSmith nation has looked into GASI lore and found a planet that may be of some value, the planet where GASI originally came from. This planet is still full of life, a haven amidst the barren planets of GASI territory. It is one of the only planets that still has organics in GASI territory. We have found creatures of value that could be useful, so we sent a legion of High-G seals to scope out the planet and locate fossils. Legion overview: 35 Force troopers 20 Assault troopers 3 Bomber troopers 2 Slice troopers They are sent on a small assault frigate and after finding a suitable dig site, they will signal down the research team. "START OF LOG" Log entry-1 We have just set off from Ceres dock (if you didn't know before, the BlackSmiths stole Ceres) and we will be jumping into the bright dark in an hour. Log entry-2 We have successfully entered the bright dark and will be arriving at the planet coordinates in 10 minutes. WE have lost a bomber trooper due to him accidentally dying after unknowingly eating a peanut, he died in about two minutes after that from his peanut allergy. Log entry-3 We have arrived at the planet and are currently in orbit. We have sent down the legion, and they will be reporting back in an hour. Log entry-4 The legion has lost 7 men to hostile wildlife, all of whom were assault troopers. They have found a suitable dig site in the high mountains and located a partial skeleton, team is being prepared and sent down in 10 minutes. Log entry-5 We discovered that the partial skeleton was actually a fully and well-preserved skeleton, and we have successfully extracted HOX genes and DNA. We are currently preparing to send up the full skeleton and samples for transportation. The sample will be put in nitrogen to preserve it. Log entry-6 We have lost 2 force troopers and 3 scientists due to more hostile wildlife. We have successfully brought up the samples and skeleton, the legion is scouting for a second dig site, and the dig team has returned to the ship. Log entry-7 Legion has encountered a strange nest-like cave, and we lost 13 force troopers and have lost all our assault troopers, however, they managed to clear out the nest and have located a well-preserved skeleton in the cave. Preparing the dig team for launch. Log entry-8 We have dug up more fossils and taken enough samples to mostly fill out the genome. They are being sent up to the ship in 10 minutes, and then we will head back to Ceres dock. "END OF LOG" Update: We have collected enough samples to mostly fill the genome, and the rest of the genome was filled with human DNA. We have accelerated the growth process, and they will be projected to have matured to toddlers by the end of this week.
