. a r t s t u d y press & hold to zoom in, click the bg to proceed long time no see ... school's almost over & i've been kinda busy , i *might* post more if i have time in the summer ? but really i've been going through art block , haven't been drawing as usual so i thought i'd do a digital art study since i haven't really touched it for a month. i drew this a few weeks ago & i'm not too happy with the result but i'm still hoping to improve <3 so let's get into it ! 1 - final , i guess it looks sort of like the reference but idk something about it is just ... off ?? i was trying to experiment w my rendering since i don't like it that much so i'm not sure if i'm going to keep it like this for my other drawings. but!! this is also my pfp & i think it looks better there. 2 - here's the reference, i found it on p1n :) i was really inspired by someone in the comments , esp their art style which is why i chose to do this photo !! i feel like i might do more p1n studies, but not on digital - since i'll be in art class next year and we're doing traditional art ^^' 3 - this was the inital sketch, i actually like this a lot , even more than the final ,, i feel like i've been liking my sketches more than the final works even though my art kinda gets messy to the point where i have to overpaint :') so yeah ! style experiments are key <//3 4 - laying down base colors & starting shading, i think i like this version the most!! which is unfortunate bc right after this i painted over it lol ... 5 - this is the painted over version (at least for the eyes) !! if anyone's wondering this drawing took around 3 hours & i use procreate dimensions 4000 x 3000 n switch those around if i want to do it horizontally if i remembered that right! but anyways the "process" i kinda go through is making a layer over the lineart & defining the lines or even completely redoing stuff. for this drawing, i tried to match the reference more since it's a study :) 6 - OH NO JUMPSCARE ... but anyways this was the finished version before i liquefied & redid the nose lol! make sure to take breaks from your drawings guys! i cannot with this version... alr that's all i have for this project! about my activity level, it was my birthday this week so ofc i wasn't really online .. turned 16 which is wild. i have a giant art dump that's still unshared so i might post that once school's over if anyone's interested ^^ bye! ──── ✩ ──── art ⋆ @gh0stwriter program used ⋆ procreate zoom in code ⋆ @colorsnatch music ⋆ baja bird - quinnie some tags - #art #drawing #process #digital #artstudy
