Lukas Aleska sees the outbreak of World War 9 as the perfect moment to ignite what he calls the "Rise of the Baltic Federation." His younger brother, Aras Aleska, stands by his side, both sons of Adias Aleska, who tragically died during the civil war in his office. Determined to expand his influence, Lukas decides to support Madrid with a simple but bold move—joining the war. As the soldiers march forward, they begin to realize that this conflict could be another long, grueling war filled with death and destruction, possibly surpassing the horrors of World War 8, or as the Baltic Federation calls it, "The War for Independence." Upon reaching France—definitely not through the deep underground tunnels built for military transport—the Baltic forces encounter little resistance in the rural areas of the Franco-Swiss Union. As they advance, their struggling navy attempts to assist Madrid's formidable fleet, while their nearly nonexistent air force tries to cause damage but meets limited success. While Madrid celebrates early victories, the Baltic forces find themselves bogged down in a small village of only 100 to 250 people, gathering resources for their next attack. However, the offensive is postponed as Aras halts the troops after securing the village, choosing to wait for reinforcements—leaving them stranded and vulnerable.
