Instructions

i have never witnessed such a skull-crushing, mind-blowing, heartbreaking reveal in a semi-international contest ever. the simple, depthless, barebones announcement of Sweden, the country who was represented by KAJ, writers of Bara Bada Bastu, in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, being fourth place… it’s… just so deplorable. i’ve literally never listened to ANY other Eurovision song as good as Bara Bada Bastu (well, Waterloo could be an exception, and THAT won a Eurovision Song Contest), and i do agree that Wasted Love is pretty dang good… but it was just such a horrifying, traumatising, shocking sight to see Sweden go RIGHT BEHIND THE PODIUM. my feelings were lifted high up when the UK got zero votes from the people (since i think What The Heck Just Happened is the worst Eurovision 2025 Song, for the UNITED KINGDOM ITSELF), but then the gravity shoved them down to the core of the earth the moment Sweden hadn’t reached first place. yes, fourth place is still really good. but it’s not as good as it could’ve been. i was so incomprehensibly in denial and disbelief when Sweden got 4th place. i was so disappointed in both the jury AND the public. they could’ve given KAJ over 500 points. but no! they just had to favour other countries!!! in fact, i would’ve let the UK this year get lots of points BUT Sweden gets 1st place (that is, if i had the opportunity to, which i would never ever have, also like a rigged 1 million points). this would be the 70th Eurovision Song Contest if it weren’t for the Pandemic. it has been extra special since it has taken place in Switzerland, where the Eurovision Song Contest started in. and this? this is the outcome? a special contest this year with high stakes and a fan favourite song, just for that song to be blown away by the second high-pitched winning Eurovision song in a row? no special mentions for KAJ, Sweden or anything? no accolades? no nothing for one of the greatest Eurovision songs we’ve seen yet this century, especially when it’s on an extra special contest? just a disappointing unlucky numbered place for the Holt Trinity of composition and songwriting? do better, Europe. -Professor Yapsalot of New Yap, President of Yappington City, Yaptember 20th, 500 BC

Description

credits to all p.s. the “instructions” above are mostly satire, JJ is awesome and so is KAJ. i just really wish that Bara Bada Bastu could’ve had some award or something for greatness, it was honestly kind of a letdown for me. still a great contest, awesome songs (except for, sadly, the one representing my home country), memorable moments and high competition. the other jokey bit was the name of the project itself! (still pretty disappointing though, we were all betting it on Bara Bada Bastu being the winning song, but NOOOO-)
