**WARNING THE WATER IS NOT SAFE FOR CATS!** (or anything else that didn't evolve here) Hot, sticky and humid, the red water here reeks of death. It it not actual blood, but rather its appearance is caused by high iron content in the water. Pale, mangrove-like trees are stained pink from the water. "Blood Worms" burrow in the muck just below the surface, luckily, they are actually herbivores, nibbling the roots of the trees, but watch your step, they will retaliate if trodden on, difficult to avoid considering the water conceals them. Small mosquito-like bugs fly around, eaten by Sanguin Gliders, large lizards with webbed limbs allowing them glide around the canopy. They shouldn't bother you, but they have closely-knit communities, if you hurt one, you're messing with it's entire community of 12-20, and they have sharp claws that they can use for more than just gripping bark.
I don't think that this idea is as cool as the Graveyard, but the blood water is a cool gimmick that could potentially be used elsewhere, if it fits. More thoughts: -I think you should be able to just barely see where blood worms are in the water. -The Sanguin Gliders kind of resemble monkeys but if they were lizards. -The Sanguin Gliders are unreasonably adorable -The Sanguin Gliders run away from you :(
