EPISODE ONE LESSON Onegai Shimasu and Kudasai O Onegai shimasu and o kudasai are two different ways to say "Can I have." These are very useful terms and are used from everything to saying where you want to go to a taxi driver, or requesting tea in a restaurant. For example, if you wanted a glass of water, you would say "Mizu o kudasai." In some situations only onegai shimasu can be used, like when asking for a service or asking for someone on the phone. ( If you use kudasai on the phone, it is like a proposal of marriage. ) STORY You are traveling to Yokohama on a long vacation. You booked a flight from California and planned to grab a taxi to get to your hotel, Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington Hotel. You got on your flight and woke up right above Yokohama.
Travels in Yokohama will be a series I will be making as I study japanese. Each episode will have a subject, such as requesting things. There will be a lesson in the description for each episode, but as for the japanese used in the episode I do not teach you about, I will let you discover on your own. ;) Or dig through the script to figure it out anyway, either one is fine. This series was made because I was very disappointed in the quality of my Learning Japanese series, which was not very useful, and inaccurate. I will study hard before making each episode and ask those with superior knowledge to tell me of any mistakes. I will be using romaji in the earlier episodes to make it easier for myself and viewers. I will use kana/kanji later, but not for a while.
