/!\ Bullying vent! May make you sad!! /!\ I'm so tired of being bullied and thought less of bc of my hobbies, interests, and sexuality. Even my MUSIC TASTE has been used against me, and I hate when ppl just say "Just don't worry about them! Be yourself! Don't worry about what other ppl think of you!" THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS!! I feel like nobody understands, even the people who are going through a similar thing, it'll never be the EXACT same. I can't talk to my parents about it because they won't understand, I can't talk to my friends because every time I try to, they shoot me down and say that mee talking about how I'm upset makes them upset, or that I'm always a downer (Ofc I'm not trying to blame my friends I love them like family and I know they just don't know how important it is that I talk about things, even if I repeat it a lot it's kind of just a "maybe if I talk abt it enough something will happen to fix it", and I know it annoys them) . I can't talk to the teachers because they'll just give the kids who are bullying me a referral or smth for bullying, but they can't give half the grade referrals (I'm not exaggerating btw it's a LOT of ppl). And just so your fully aware this is UNPROVOKED bullying, I've never done anything mean to these ppl or anything like that, they just don't like me bc I'm 'weird'. All of this got sparked up in my mind by the school yearbook. I just noticed how all of the "popular" kids who are "normal" are in TONS of pictures, but for me and most of my friends, the only pictures we're in are the ones with our names under them; and that really bummed me out bc I have lot's of really nice friends who are incredible people and I feel like they (and I) deserve some recognition for actually being decent people. Actually, let me rephrase that, I feel like the people who are complete jerks and bullying people FOR NO REASON, shouldn't be put under the spotlight for that. The school treats them like knights in shining armour even though all they do is skip class and bully others; and if we ever try to report them to the teachers for bullying (If you can't fix it on your own, get an adult) even if they did it, they've got all their other jerk friends who back them up every time. It's gotten to the point where I've (not anymore) considered su!cide, and I've developed every symptom of depression there is. We can't go to any of our "trusted adults" about our problems, because they would never understand, and we can't do it ourselves, because the bullies don't care if we stand up for ourselves. What are we supposed to do?
