No I’m not quitting Scratch. or giving up CCG (Cedar Creek Gang, a comic I’m working on) tho Yall probably wouldn’t care but ima waste my time typing this anyway. So I was about done with the 3rd chapter, well I finished it like 1 month ago, but I reread before I posted it and realized it was pure mouse-dung, so I’ve been working on some more story/world building and have figured it out. So this 3rd chapter will be a lore chapter (aka flashback but more story) but I’ve also come up with ideas to structure upcoming chapters and I will list them down below :) 1. Main Story. This will focus more on the story and how it’s happening (like most comics you will see here on scratch) and it kinda is just what the characters are doing. 2. Narrated Chapters :D This one i like, so if you’ve seen some Warrior Cat comics and it’s about how Starclan cats are reviewing some story of some clan, like for instance; “Something seemed quite off then so-and-so went to investigate” it’s more of a book with, just drawings with text over it. It won’t change how the comic looks, but I’m not the best at dialogue so I thought this would be an interesting way of doing it! 3. Lore or Backstory Chapters. I didn’t cover most of the backstory for why this character did that and this (not that there is much story to include that stuff yet), for example, why is the opposing gang an opposing gang? Or why does this person have beef with this person? It’s sorta self explanatory. 4. Filler Chapters :/ I’d like to not use these a lot but here and there is okay. At this point if I didn’t have a story it’d just be dumb Filler chapters :P Okay so with that out of the way, I wanna explain the art aspect of the comic, as you know it doesn’t look like I put much effort into it, but it kinda is a draft of the story, I will hopefully come back one day and give it colored and shaded art, it’s just so I can get the series out of my head and onto -digital- paper. But I probably won’t come back to “Remaster” it-if it doesn’t gain much attention or becomes popular. I understand most comics dont become popular, mostly because most stuff on this site is ALL warrior cat content. (which rlly peeves off us Original art/authors. but don’t get me wrong, I love WC, it inspired me a ton)
How CCG really started: Omg I love how it’s so different from how it started lol- so it began with my sister and I wanting to do a book with some friends of ours, we’d send our side of the story to our friends through letters and they’d do the same to us, but that never really happened… so my part of the story i was contributing was about two girls (they were 18-20) living in Eskdalemuir area in Scotland, their names were Duchess and Jasmine (Duchess in CCG was originally named Jasmine but it was later on changed to Duchess), Duchess was adopted Btw, their parents were away helping some aunt, (also the story was set in 1918-1926.) There were these two brothers (I think they were friends originally tho) named Floyd and Anthony (I changed Anthony’s name later on to Murphy because I liked it better), Floyd worked at a Lumber mill and Anthony worked as a Shepard. I really liked the idea of some street cat story and later on combined the two stories. I liked Missouri area for a story so I picked St. Louis. I think the funniest thing happened 3 years later when I stumbled upon Lackadaisy, and realized it was almost the same as CCG and in St. Louis too and now ppl probably think I’m a rip off lol- also Cedar Creek Gang used to be called Cedar Ridge Gang. Also the story isnt so historical because there is this dude (not a d3m0n or gh0st but more of like this mythical guy) who.. um.. controls one of the characters in CCG (not like the character is possessed) and umm… he is kinda prophesied on this cave mural the gang finds and pretty much is Bill Cipher but anthro lol, okay not really but I don’t know how to explain him otherwise without him sounding like a d3m0n or a gh0st (I’m Christian and all that stuff is just horrible p) so it’s more of a semi historical/Fictional story
