She ran to grab help from Oakleaves, terrified of losing another litter of kits. (Brightkit and Smallkit will not D13 like my others did!), she thought with fear. Screaming in desperation, she ran into the medicine den. "OAKLEAVES!!! MY KITS ARE DY1NG!!! HELP, PLEASE!!!" Rubywind, now sobbing, glanced around with anxiety. "There there Rubywind, we will figure it out." Coaxed Oakleaves. They both ran into the nursery, looking for the kits, but all they heard was the fearful mews of Basil's kits, Moonkit, Cloverkit, and Ivykit. "They must be searching for their mother." Oakleaves mewed quietly, "She has black-cough as well as you kits do. I don't think any of them will survive." Rubywind gasped for air, sobbing harder. "It would be best if you took care of Basil's kits for her while she hunts in StarClan." He whispered, "As will your kits." Oakleaves picked up the limp body of one of Rubywind's kits, carrying it outside. "We shall morn these d3@ths greatly.". And that is the end of the lore! I hope you enjoyed!
