While my ships were warping to cover a different piece of the battle, they accidentally rammed into a small dwarf planet. 7 hit the planet at full speed, all we immediately obliterated, but the dwarf planet was sent spiraling into the star it was orbiting, which happened to be a white dwarf star. The Dwarf star was overloaded and went supernova. This supernova destroyed the solar system and killed everything in the system and the neighboring systems. The gamma ray burst ripped away the atmospheres of planets in that solar system and neighboring systems, killing everything. We see the opportunity and cut off the troops from the mainland, we swoop in and yoink the border.
