I'm considering using this character in a story I might actually publish, if that's fine with you. I will give credit in whatever way you wish. Anyway, the story is a heavy WIP, but it's about a prince with a terrible curse that causes him to turn aggressive and vicious and behave like a monster. Hoping to be rid of his curse, the prince meets a young woman who might be able to help him, and then they go on an epic quest. I wanted there to be three main characters, so I'm hoping to make this DTA character the third one. Both the prince and the girl's concepts are inspired by Imagine Dragons songs, so I thought that this character that I'm entering for would be perfect to add to the main cast, since he is also based on an ID song! This is my first time drawing a merman Art: 1. Sea form 2. Land from (might add more. Still trying to think of other art/project ideas for him.) Name: Caspian Gender: Male Age: Physically early 20's (actually hundreds of years old because merfolk age slower than humans) Species: Merfolk (amphibious) Personality: Chill, a little goofy Extra facts: He is an amphibious merman, which means that his fish tail is interchangeable with legs if he wants to visit land. I decided this for plot convenience because most of the story will involve land travel. He's very athletic and loves board games. He is naturally right-handed, but also trained his left hand. He had a friend who lost his dominant arm to an infection, and Caspian trained himself to ambidextrous in case that ever happened to him. Backstory: Still working on this, but Caspian comes from a well-off family and is kinda just chilling and enjoying life in the Merkingdom and at some point during one of his adventures on land he meets this emo prince and a battle-scarred girl and decides to team up with them, probably because he knows something about a place where they need to go as part of their quest.
