Instructions

———PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION——— Internet Explorer is strongly recommended to run Scratch projects. Behold, my homage to possibly my favorite GameCube game: Kirby Air Ride! As a nod to the original, you play this game with just the arrow keys and space bar. Kirby Air Ride on Scratch is a racing game. You race against the clock. Your vehicle (known as a machine) will move forward automatically. Those who played the original will notice that this project is most similar to the game's "Top Ride" mode. v1.7 sports ten machines and eight courses for you to race on. —CONTROLS and MECHANICS— In the menu screen... LEFT/RIGHTkeys: select machine/course. SPACE: select machine/course. During the game... Press the LEFT/RIGHT keys to steer. When taking a sharp turn, press and hold SPACE to start sliding. The machine will slow down and fill up the Boost meter. When it is full, release the SPACE key to Boost forward. When you ride over a Boost panel (green arrows), your machine will gain speed. When you ride over a yellow line, your machine will start Gliding. Press the UP/DOWN arrow keys to lose/gain altitude, respectively. Each machine is unique. They all perform much differently from each other. Read the description that appears when you select a machine to learn more about them.
