Description

Backstory: Yayokai thought he had escaped the Skywings. He still couldn't believe how violent they were, how bad a queen Scarlet was. He had been rejected by both the Mudwings and the Seawings. He simply didn't fit in anywhere. He walked through the woods, tail dragging along behind him. A rustling could be heard in the bushes. A small, brown snout appeared, then a mouth, and finally, a set of brown eyes. A young Mudwing was staring at Yayokai curiously, just like every over dragon he had encountered. The dragonet quickly disappeared again. Yayokai followed him through the shrubbery, until he came to a halt in front of six other dragonets, each one from a different tribe. What were all these baby dragons doing in the woods? Yayokai reached out cautiously toward them, trying not to startle them. The Mudwing and the Skywing started wrestling each other, while the Seawing moved cautiously, trying not to step in the puddles that surrounded them. The Sandwing dragonet nudged him straight into an especially muddy puddle, laughing as the Seawing squeaked angrily. The baby Rainwing stared thoughtfully at a small sunflower with the Icewing by his side, who was also appreciating its beauty. The Nightwing was sitting quietly, studying the Seawing, who was now chasing the Sandwing. Yayokai smiled and let out a small chuckle. He reached out again, and this time they all turned to face him. He reached out further, and Mudwing came up and nuzzled him. The other dragonets followed, except for the Seawing, who was still standing there, a stubborn look on his face. Yayokai reached out to him, and the Seawing flinched, then sniffed his talon and gently nudged it. Yayokai picked him up gently, allowing him to get in a comfortable position. Yayokai looked around until his gaze rested on a nearby cave. He pointed to the cave and said, "Over here." They all went inside, each of them looking around until they settled on a spot to rest. Yayokai dropped down in the center, looking around at the small dragons. The Mudwing came up to him and nudged himself under Yayokai's talon. He smiled, and the dragonet smiled back. "Don't worry. I will protect you." ~ Written by @ScratchDuck Credit to @LizardLady2 In case you haven't realized it yet, this is the start of a new series.
