ok hi we're back some of this is copypasted from fiab BUT i did change quite a few things so if you will PLEASE READ THE RULES again even if you were in fiab that'd be fantastic i don't do 'experienced animators only' because! no sorry it just makes people feel bad and im not about to be selective when it's literally yall putting in the time and effort to draw appreciation for my roleplay i really appreciate anyone whos willing to do so however! since everyone is welcome, i am going to be placing in a few guidelines just to try to push everyone a little out of their comfort zones! we're here to improve our art and hone our skills! these skills are split into four categories: sketch, lineart, color/shading, background you will choose ONE of these skills to really push yourself to improve with and put EXTRA effort into, and you will be given an extra 3 days to complete that section. examples for each on how to utilize this and which section to choose based on what you want to improve (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THESE!) sketch: - "i want to improve my anatomy!" - "i want to work on clean sketches!" - "i want to work on sketches that better inform my lineart!" lineart: - "i want to work on clean lineart!" - "i want to work on more details in my lineart!" - "i want to try and incorporate halftones into my work!" color/shading: - "i want to try adding more details with color!" - "i dont normally shade but i want to try it!" - "i want to try cell shading!" backgrounds: - "i want to draw more detailed environments!" - "i want to diversify the environments i draw!" the deadline for your part is 3 weeks, but it is split up into checkpoints because i do not appreciate reaching the end of a deadline, asking them how the part is going, and then them dropping because they totally forgot about it!! :'D sketch: 3 days lineart: 5 days color/shading: 5 days background: 5 days section of choice: +3 day extra extension period (used if ur late on any of the checkpoints, or if requested): +3 days i am also not that mean as long as ur communicating with me and trying your best to get your part done!!! if something goes wrong just! let me know and we'll see if we can work something out!! ANYWAYS ONTO THE ACTUAL RULES NOW LOL - i expect some semblance of effort for each of the four sections!! pls no blank gray screens for backgrounds,, or doing just clear messy 2 second doodles for the sketch portion. - do not put your part in the background sprite. please use a maximum of two sprites for your part !!, an animation program can help with condensing sprite usage! one sprite is preferred!! - tweening / gliding / rotating / etc. is allowed and encouraged but keep in the mind the max two sprite rule (pref use animation programs to help instead of doing it using scratch code as that saves asset usage) please please if using gliding make sure the part doesnt slide off the viewing window (otherwise we can see the backdrop behind it). you can make the sprite bigger by using size: 110% or something to help - i know not everyone has access, so it's not required, but look into art programs! they'll make everything so much easier, due to onion skinning and layers :sob:. free art programs off the top of my head: krita (what i use, it has animation abilities and i can help anyone with questions on that) firealpaca flipaclip (i don't mind the watermark!) gimp kleki (online, in browser for those that can't download anything!) - one part per person, may change in the future if i have trouble getting sign-ups - this is scripted, not a free-for-all!! ask questions if you need anything script + refs are inside FORM: part / any character you've had in generations before (just to ensure you've been in the roleplay) / favorite npc / which section you are choosing to put extra effort into for ur bonus days (if you are confused on this... maybe read the rules? :') ) /
