Kitty headed to her dormitory room with Questa to get suited up. "Do you really think Zoe knows where Vex is?" Questa questioned as Kitty looked through the closet. "I don't know." Kitty grabbed her spy shirt and pants and threw them on the bed. "It's really our only lead right now." Kitty continued rummaging through the closet. Questa tugged on a lock of hair that had made its way out of her pig tails. "I just feel like we could have done something better." "I know Zoe seems a bit... rude... just busting into the case like this, but I'm sure she means well." Kitty took her gloves and belt out of the closet. "You should go get changed." "Yes, Miss Saunders." Questa joked, saluting. Kitty laughed and shut the door to change. Once the team was suited up, they and ran out of the school. Zoe led them into the forest quickly, but slowed down almost halfway in. "Be careful. He could have the place protected." Kitty let her breathing slow to be quieter. She creeped through the trees and leafage with the rest of the four teens. In the distance, a large building loomed above them. "There." Zoe said. "That's the place." She crept up to the wall, around the building, and waited a second, then hurried inside with the others following. The building looked abandoned, but somehow very modern, inside. There were no guards, no cameras, and no Vex. Lucy came up next to Zoe. "Are you sure this is the place? It seems too new to be an old, abandoned building." Just then, Vex exited one of the rooms up ahead and faced them from down the hallway. "If it isn't the 'elite agents'." The loathing in his voice was emphasized by his look of disgust. Ali stepped forward. "Vex–" "No. Do you even know what you did?" His brow furrowed. "You cast me out, because of a preference! Ali, how would you like it if your BEST MATE told you that modern art wasn't allowed?! Just because it's different, doesn't make it wrong. Yes, AI art is different, but that's ok. Do you know how hard it was for me to get into that school? You shouldn't have let me get cut down like that!" His voice broke, but he continued. "But it's over now. You made your choice." He whipped his tears away and confidently looked at them. "And so have I. I'm going to blow this place up with you in it. Let this be a lesson to A.R.F." He turned and ran down the hallway. "What?!" Lucy began to run after him, but Zoe stopped her. "No, Lucy." "Why are you stopping us?" Kitty looked down the hallway. "He's getting away!" "I can't let you hurt him..." Zoe looked back and forth between each of them. "I'm supposed to protect him." Kitty let the words stab her. Zoe had tricked them. "You wanted us to come here so he could explode us in here! Who are you, really?" Zoe blocked the way barrier she made. "I'm Vex's AI, Zoe."
