"Now..." Mrs. Martinez sat down in an irritated manner. "With this in order, you will now be assigned to new dormitories to fit your new status." Suddenly, there were a few screams from somewhere down the hallway. A student rushed into the room. "M-mrs. Martinez!" The color in his face had left him. "What is it?" She immediately stood up. "What happened?!" "The... the Mona Lisa... in the hall of paintings? A student... I– I..." "Samuel P. Brooks! Out with it!" "Someone destroyed it!" The student almost burst into tears. The woman behind the desk flew out of the room and rushed through the corridor. The students quickly followed behind, horrified. Down the hallway, there was a row of famous original paintings. They were especially kept safe, since they were millions of dollars. Apparently, Samuel was one of the few students that could take care of them. Mrs. Martinez and the four newly appointed elite agents stood in disbelief at the ruined Mona Lisa on the ground. Somehow, the protective barrier had been disabled, and someone had broken the frame and ripped the canvas. Mrs. Martinez reached up to an earpiece and called some agents to the crime scene. She then turned to the small group of students behind her. "Your first mission will be to arrest the person that did this." She glanced at her watch. "After a night's rest. We still need to discover who did this in the meantime." Kitty had then gone to bed, back in her old dormitory because she didn't want to bother the headmistress anymore than she was. The next day had been chaotic. Once the word got out that one of the most famous paintings ever, if not THE most famous painting out there, had been destroyed, there was a huge panic. What if another one of the paintings was going to be ruined? Who was this mysterious person that destroyed the painting? Even classes were canceled because no one could concentrate. Finally, after about 2 hours of analysis, the culprit had been discovered to be Vex Morgan. The news had filled Kitty's stomach with guilt. She felt like she should have stood up for him instead of letting him get cut down. But the headmistress had been right. AI art was wrong... right? Ali looked the worst out of everyone. Vex and he had been very good friends. Ali even confessed that he didn't know where Vex was anymore since yesterday. Vex had apparently left as soon as he destroyed the painting, taking his belongings with him and leaving a farewell note. In the hubbub, no one had noticed his vacancy. And now, the next morning, Kitty didn't feel ready to go find Vex. Questa, Lucy, Ali, and herself had only just been given the opportunity of elite agent. Now they were going on a mission only after two days. The four teens met at the dining hall to discuss the mission ahead. Questa began the discussion with a huff. "How are we supposed to find Vex? We have no idea where he would go!" Ali shuffled a bit before adding, "I'm sorry, you guys... I should have realized how upset he was. If I had only–" Lucy cut in. "Don't blame yourself, Ali. No one expected him to do something so harsh." She fiddled with her braids. "Any ideas where he would go?" Ali ran his hands through his black hair. "Other than back home to Australia, I really don't know. He was probably just trying to get away. He could be anywhere by now..." From the front of the room, a girl walked over. "Excuse me, are you Ali, Questa, Kitty, and Lucy?" She had purple hair with bright blue eyes. Kitty looked over. "Yes? Who are you?" The girl smiled nicely. "My name is Zoe. I specialize in 3D art." She looked a bit uncomfortable, but said, "I'm... a replacement. For Vex." "Oh." Kitty grimaced on the inside. Not the best time to talk about replacing him. Zoe sat down with the group. "I think I can help, too. You see, I really enjoy mysteries, and I think I might know how to find Vex." Lucy looked skeptical. "Really? Did you even know him?" Zoe nodded. "A bit. Did he ever tell you about Poki Forest?" Ali looked at her with the question everyone had on their minds. "No...?" Zoe stood up, excited. "I did a little research and digging, and I think I know where he might be!" Questa stood up as well. "Really? How?" "It's the closest forest to the school, and a perfect place to hide." Zoe replied. "Wait." Ali stopped her. "Poki Forest has an abandoned building in the center. Do you think he's there?" Zoe nodded. "I think so!" She looked at everyone else. "Ready?" The rest of the teens stood up. "Let's go." Kitty nodded her approval at Zoe.
