Just to make sure everyone is on the same page, I am making this post. • I will cover both my leaving announcement and the most recent WildFyres progress update (and the future of WildFyres as a whole) • First off, I am not leaving yet (in case that part wasn't clear in the original post) I am leaving all my main content at the end of this year (2025) I hope to still check in to make updates on WildFyres as we progress on that front. • During this final stretch, I will be taking art and voiceline requests (may not commit to long-term voice roles due to my departure though) As well as making a new free to use bases post that I will leave available and update until the end of the year on request. • This now leads us to the second part. • The future of WildFyres. I feel some confusion may have come out of my most recent update post since I shared a screenshot of my disco server. I do not intend to stop posting updates on the project until the site is fully free to access (as the plan is still to do a invite beta until I have enough moderation and safety to feel comfortable having kids on the platform.) I update in my server with every small development as they happen, but that information still arrives here, just in the form of a larger post. • With that being said, I was far too optimistic about the timing, chances are I won't have it ready by the end of this year (2025) I am attempting to code a website all on my own and I was a little too confident in my abilities for someone who hasn't even figured out much of Javascript yet 0-0 I will keep you all posted as much as I can, but we no longer have any set date for launch. • That being said, my hope is to try to do more community voting and discussion (and possibly design contests) Any major art / design contributions will of course be credited as things are added to the site • And as always, if you have any questions about this project, or anything you'd be interested to see added, please reach out in the comments!
