Okay so that's Gleb. Yes, Gleb. It's a Ukrainian name, apparently. He's a coyote. In Wildwood, this lady named Alexandra, the Dowager Governess, has a coyote army. The rest of the backstory about Gleb is spoilers so SPOILER WARNING, scroll down but spoilers are below Okay so once Prue (Main character) is all like 'HEY ALEXANDRA GET YER KILLER IVY OUTTA HERE' in the first book, the coyote army disbands. So my idea I guess was that Gleb was all 'Oh smeg bye guys' and his personality is very.. uh... not not fond of killing things? He liked being in an army and the army's all gone so he all sad Then in 3rd book, psyche, the ivy's back, and it actually does end up taking over the forest and eventually Portland as was Alexandra's wish in book 1. So Gleb's again like 'Y did I work fer u how lame' and he all gonna attack her but he just a little coyote so nope he gets stuck in the ivy. But then Prue does a thing and the ivy goes away eventually and Gleb nopes it out of there to Washington but he still sad and can't decide what to do that's really my story for some reason
