Instructions

Colored (Red/Green/Blue) words fall from the top of the stage. Press the first letter (R/G/B) of the COLOR of the word. (You may alternately press 1/2/3 respectively.) You are being timed, so respond as fast as you can. Falling speed increases with the passage of time. A word hitting the "floor" before you guess correctly, ends the game. Simple? Maybe. Maybe not. The color of the words don't always match the meaning of the words. At the end, The average time of your answers for "congruent" words (word color matches word meaning) and "incongruent" words (word color does NOT match word meaning) is compared. Description

In psychology, the Stroop effect is the delay in reaction time between neutral and incongruent stimuli. Wikipedia. A word with a color the same as its meaning is considered a congruent stimulus. A word with a color NOT the same as its meaning is considered an incongruent stimulus. An unrelated word and color are considered neutral stimuli. An incongruent stimulus slows down our reaction time.
