It's held together by sticks and straws. Press 1 For Player 1 (Duh) Press 2 For Player 2 (Duh x2) The game will only update other players positions once you've joined as one of the players :P Don't spam 1 and 2, and don't take control of a character that somebody else is using. Don't just close the tab! Press the stop button so the system knows you left the game! Failure to follow these will mean I have to reset the dang server. JUST. DON'T. DO. IT.
