Click the flag and listen or read. Wanna hear me yap for 7 minutes? Hey everybody! I know that I haven't really been active on Scratch over the past couple of months. As a result of that, some of the things that I promised to release earlier this spring instead have not. What's the reason for that? Let's take a journey through the last few months of my life. This begins in December of last year, which was almost five months ago now. The things I was working on this month were JANC 1, BFMT 9A, and the Winter Roadmap. JANC 1 released the 22nd, one day after planned, because I was probably busy on the 21st, I don't remember. BFMT 9A released on the 31st, so at least that episode didn't go into 2025. Finally, the Winter Roadmap was supposed to release in December, but it got delayed to January 5, since I had a busy holiday season. This was only the beginning. The Winter Roadmap announced a bunch more things for me to indefinitely delay. The first I'd like to talk about being BFMT. 9B, the purposely bad one, was posted on January 19, 2025. Whatever. What I'd really like to talk about (also the main reason I made this project) is BFMT: A Change of Pace. This project is mainly what made me temporarily lose my motivation. At first, things went fine. My original goal, all the way back in like November when I planned this project, was to release this episode in the month of January. Little did I know, this would not end up working. I already knew that this was gonna be the biggest episode of BFM by far, but that's about all I knew. To make it a little easier for me (and soon, you!) I decided to split the episode into little chunks, called chapters. You know, like books that kids these days still read! In the first time of getting actual work on this, I finished Chapters 1-3, which was 133 slides. But then, I decided to switch to BFMT 10A before finishing it, so I could keep on pace. BFMT 10A, releasing on March 15, was really the last thing I posted before I sort of disappeared for a while. I mean, I did lines for CAPPY OS a couple of days later. But my project count has stagnated at 1,001. How annoying. I didn't really talk about JANC 2 and 3. They exist. 4-the end don't yet. They will soon. Soon being after I finish A Change in Pace. I began to work on A Change in Pace again after 10A. I got Chapter 4 done and began Chapter 5. But then, something big came. I flew down to Arizona for a week-long trip. This was a really fun trip, I just couldn't work on BFMT more than finishing Chapter 5. Once I got back, through April, I slowly made Chapter 6, with only Chapter 7 to go. The thing is, the week after I got back, we had our state testing week, so I couldn't really get work done that week. The week after that, I didn't have any excuses. I just continued to not work on it each day. The same story for the week after that. I just temporarily lost motivation for the project. I got exactly 4 slides on Chapter 7 done the entire two weeks. Which brings us into May. I planned to come back to the project last weekend, the 3rd and 4th. However, last weekend was one of the busiest weekends I have had in a very long time. I had to wake up at 3:30 in the morning on Saturday to go to a band contest 3 hours away, and then we spent the rest of the day at Silver Dollar City, followed by driving back home in the dark, and getting home at 10:00 PM. Again, this was a very fun opportunity for me, and I had a ton of fun. The next day, I woke up to walk a 5K before spending the rest of the day at a friend's house for a party. When we got back from that, we had a cookout of our own. By the time everything was over, it was about 8:00 PM, and I was tired out of my mind from the whole weekend. I was not going to work on A Change in Pace on top of everything that happened. So now, we're back to the present, with still only 4 slides done on Chapter 7, 282 slides total. It's sad that I stopped so close to the end, since I only have like 30-40 slides left to make. Now that I finished everything I was talking about, I feel like I'll actually be motivated to get them done! So, I'm getting back to work on it tonight, with hopes of releasing it THIS week! Finally! I know I've been working on this for like, 4 months now, but it's almost time. BFMT: A Change in Pace will have a trailer release Thursday, May 8. Are you ready? Now, what about JANC 4 and beyond? Well, I'll start with JANC 4 next week. I think I should just get these all out pretty quickly, since we still have a while to go. BFMT 10B also is in the works, kind of! I hope to get it done in May, before school ends. Then, we will be entering summer with only 12 episodes to go. Which will hopefully be just a full year. I will try to work on BFMT episodes more quickly and more often, so I can meet this goal. This continues in the Notes and Credits.
