Description

Channel T (often known as the "T Network", "TTV", or, on-air, simply just "T") was an Australian free-to-air television station, with studios based in Toowoomba, Queensland. It was originally founded in 1972 as a local station, hence the "T" in the name, but they later launched stations in Adelaide, Canberra, and Darwin. Plans were originally made for a station in Sydney, but those plans were later rejected in 1981 due to expensive costs and near economic bankruptcy. In Jan. 1985, the introductory ID for the iconic "T" logo rose, originally planned as a last venture for the company if all else failed. However, the logo became to be insanely iconic in the area, which ended up lifting them far from bankruptcy and eventually launching a station in Sydney in September 1994. After threats for shutting down the station when he'd won a fourth term (due to the station's, reportedly, "Labor-ran bias", in his words, despite this being later debunked due to the station's focus on neutrality and centralist tendencies) came from the conservative government run by John Howard, the station would eventually be shut down in November 2004 following the victory by Howard and his administration in the 2004 Australian federal election, winning him his fourth term. [THIS IS ALL A WORK OF FICTION, OBVIOUSLY.}
