Instructions

Press "i" to view the battle information. There are no controls to this project, just watch. Orange Sprite - Young Blue Sprite - Adult Green Sprite - Old This project was created to simulate the growth of competing organisms with limited resources. I used three default sprites to represent three different biological branches all competing towards one food source: Muffins. To make things interesting, I created each group so that they had the same statistics, and to make things even more interesting, I made it so that a single food source was available at a time. While I was experimenting with the project I found that speed is the most important aspect of a group. If one group is faster than the other, there is a high chance the faster group would win in a fight. This can be seen in real-life organisms such as cheetahs and deer. Cheetahs are fast, therefor giving them a higher chance of finding and killing prey, and deer are fast, therefor giving them a higher chance of escaping dangerous predators. I also found that if make each group with high statistics starting out, they will ALL survive. Anyways, don't take my word for it, open up the project code and experiment with it yourself! Have Fun! - Note: This project uses advance AI, so don't screw around with the code TOO much.
