I found a lot of cicada nymphs while flipping over logs in my backyard, and I thought it was cool, because I've never seen a live nymph before. As I was inspecting them, it really struck me how well animals have evolved, when even small, somewhat basic organisms like these cicadas have evolved so perfectly in order to survive in nature.
