Art by @Echoa_badger Program used: ibisPaint X Zoom-in Code by @colorsnatch Song: Dodie - Monster (uhh the version from toph theme songs idk this one sounds different than the one I listened to from Google and that one also has profanity in it so uh) help I've had this song stuck in my head for weeks now whenever I even think about any of the lyrics and/or potential meanings for them- anyway the ginger boy is Jace, one of the main protags of my new story (currently titled Kaleido Sky, not sure if it's permanent lol) alongside his sis Mira!! basically they move to this new town and also discover some portal to a fantasy world full of fantasy creatures (spoiler alert: this bcuz humans used to live with them but became evil and took away their homes rah!!!) at some point Jace joins... actually i dont have a name for the group yet but they're a bunch of "angels" who are like the most powerful in the fantasy world and may or may not want to wipe out all humanity for REVENGE, and despite literally been human himself he wants to transform into one so he (and maybe everyone else) gets to live the exciting life they've been missing for so long, slowly being possessed in the process. (or... maybe not, idk the plot is very wip and also I'm writing this like some fake tv show from Idea Wiki-) also his main love interest is a runaway daughter of one of the members but I'm conflicted between that plotline and having him be gay instead (and/or Mira gets his love interest lol) oh also uhh i forgot to mention this first time around but I tried to do some more "dynamic" shading (especially with the hair), though it didnt exactly go as I hoped and I just succumbed to using airbrush wildly anyways- oh and also unrelated but I finally updated the AOK refs. So far only got the UI overhaul done (+ feature to prevent spoilers hopefully) but I'm planning to revamp some of the refs to include more stuff such as props, as well as bg characters and backgrounds so I won't have to keep digging into previous chapters to reuse palettes.
