Once, there was a town. It was an average, small, uninteresting town. On one quiet night, someone came to the town that would change the world forever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Are you interested? Who is this person, you may be asking. How could His coming change the world forever? It is possible you already know the name of this man. The book telling the story of His life has been translated into more languages than any other book! Ok, here it is. The name of the Man is...…. Jesus! Let me tell you the miraculous (and TRUE!) story of how this man named Jesus came to the world so that you can have hope, love, peace, and faith that will help you move mountains. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The God of the world, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, sent His one and only Son to the earth as a child. A little baby! You can find a verse about this in the Bible. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Eternal life? That's what almost everyone in the world wants! Countless famous stories are about heroes searching for something that can give them eternal life. But is there really a way to have it? When God sent his Son Jesus to the earth as a little baby, He sent Him so that we could live with Him FOREVER in heaven! I know it sounds hard to believe. Let me tell you the rest of the story. When Jesus grew up, he was crucified by his own people for claiming to be the Son of God. His people didn't believe him, even though he was the Son of God! His people beat him, spit on him, and nailed him to a cross. He died. Do you know why Jesus let them kill him? He died so that He could take the punishment for all of our sins. You see, sins are things that we do wrong, and when we sin, we are separated from God. WE cant live with God forever because of OUR sin, and the punishment for sin is DEATH. But when Jesus died on the cross, he took the punishment for ALL of our sins!! It was the ultimate sacrifice!! But you might be thinking, "Big deal. Anyone can die." That is very true, but you are getting ahead of yourself. That is not the end of the story. See, after Jesus died, some friends of His took His body and put it in a tomb, which is a large cave people would use as a grave. It seemed hopeless. The people who had loved him were in despair. Three terrible days passed. On the morning of the third day, two friends of Jesus, both named Mary, went to the tomb to put spices on Jesus's body. But when they got there, they saw that the stone that had been put in front of the entrance to the tomb had been rolled away! An angel from God was sitting on the stone that had been moved! Here is what he said in Mathew 28:5-6 "The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay." Jesus raised HIMSELF from the dead! He was Alive! This wonderful story is the hope of humanity. If we believe that Jesus came and died and rose again to take the punishment for all of our sin, we can live with Him forever in eternity!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I pray that you will believe this for yourself.
