Askaria has continued its bold campaign to encircle the Askari Panhandle. 60,000 Purrqing troops encircled in a decisive Askari victory. Over 150,000 Purrqing civillians have been expelled from Askari-occupied land, leaving Purrqing logistics strained. Using 300 large transport ships and 50 gliders, Askaria attempted to land 30000, although in the past 16 hours, 10,000 are dead, wounded, or missing. A major ruse was played on. Askaria has succesfully convinced the Purrqing forces that Askaria has between 50-60 thousand troops west, twice as many as they currently do. A letter was sent to the commander of the pocket by Askari commander Dawit Lishan, the Askaris patienly await a response. On the main front, the 998th light infantry division was creamed by Purrqing forces in a failed advance. 33% of the division is wounded or dead. The remnants were assigned to the battered 774th armored division to form the 999th armoured-infantry division menits’ati.
