I found Jayflight near the border again.His head was down and he was staring at his paws. “Jayflight?”He jumped. “Goldenmoon!”he meowed. “You scared me!” “You were right.”He looked at me in confusion,then excitement. “Are you,”he asked, “Admitting you were wrong?” I sighed. “Yes,but-” “Wow!”He looked at me. “Finally!” I sighed again. “Foxmoon said you killed her.” He froze.Then sighed. “Hello?”Me and Jayflight both jumped.A kit,about a moon, came around one of the bushes in the clearing. “Awww!”I meowed. “Hey!”The kits stomped towards me. “Uh oh,”Jayflight whispered. “Now you’ve done it.” I smacked him and he laughed.The kit glared at us. “What are you doing on my territory?”she asked.I laughed.Jayflight tried to hide my laugh by coughing.I looked at him.His look told me ‘don’t ask.’ “I asked you a question!”the kit meowed. “This is your territory?”I looked around.The kit looked up bravely and nodded. “But haven’t you heard this is Thunderclan territory?”I asked. “Yes,”the kit meowed. “But it’s the Dark Forest’s now.” Jayflight backed away,but I stood my ground. “No,It isn’t.”I meowed. “You’re gonna have to fight me for it.” I could feel Jayflight look at me helplessly.Why was he afraid of a kit?Then the kit charged.She scratched my shoulder and jumped back before i could get her.That’s why.I looked over at Jayflight.He was just standing there.He wouldn’t help me,this is my fight.I scratched the kit’s ear.She yelped and jumped back.Then she ran towards me with such ferocity that I wasn’t prepared when she knocked me over.She then went for my throat.I blocked her.I knew she was gonna bite me again when suddenly,she disappeared.I got up just in time to see Jayflight,with the kit clawing at him and leaving no wounds,throw her into the water.She yelped and I saw her disappear under the water.When she came back up to the surface,she was fading.Then she was gone.I gasped and got up,wincing. “That’s gonna leave a scar.”He said without looking,his gaze still on the water. “W-what was that?”I asked. “The Dark Forest is rising.”He looked at me.The kind cat I knew since I was a kit had a dark side. “That’s why you need to leave.”
