i've uploaded this to my new main account as well: @specialred_ (TLDR; i've been seeing a lot of laziness in the moderation of this site and with it being directed to kids, i think the scratch team should do something to improve it. it makes me sick to see quite literally illegal things happen on this site and it not being dealt with for hours, days, or even longer. yet, innocent people on the site get warnings, get their projects taken down, or even banned. something needs to change.) WARNING: yapping ahead okay so ever since i've been more involved in the scratch community (rather than making projects) i've heard a lot of stuff about the moderation on this site apparently, there are too many things that are seemingly allowed here that just should not be, and then innocent things people do that could get them banned it kind of makes me sick thinking about the fact that the st is simply lazy when it comes to moderating their kids' platform i get that there's the idea of not being paid enough to really have any will to care, but even if the st is underpaid, that shouldn't apply here just yesterday, there was a project with a very disturbing thumbnail uploaded by some edgy hacker which was left on literally the second row of the explore page for HOURS just think that the whole time it was up, there could've been innocent kids being scarred by such an image it's not okay, but the scratch team let it slide for so long until they actually decided to do something not only that, but i also know that this has HAPPENED BEFORE MULTIPLE TIMES, this has happened apparently, another project with a graphic thumbnail was FEATURED yes, it was on the FRONT PAGE OF THE WEBSITE and also the fact that probably MANY years ago, that one hacker (paddler) uploaded a whole ton of graphic stuff to scratch and as far as i know, he's totally off the hook like, what?! i also heard that 3 different studios were attacked by spammers, and their message was promoting harassment and... well, telling someone to do not-so-good things in a disco server not only is that against the SCRATCH tos, but DISCO'S too, and it's against i haven't heard of it being handled yet, so what's up with that?! i want to see some change in the moderation of this site and if nothing is done about it, well, i sure hope someone's getting sued... maybe that'll change their minds
