EDIT: I realized that there are parts of this that don’t make sense due to chapter 41 forget them they aren’t relevant anymore— Hello hello folks as we draw ever closer to the end of WL and I become increasingly against creating the sequel in the way I initially envisioned I have decided to talk to you about all the things going on in the background that make the freaky world of WL what it is because I need to talk about my babies all the time. This isn’t necessary to read to enjoy and understand Wisestar’s Lullaby and some of this isn’t even set into stone half this is kind of world exploration but anyways I take no secrets to my grave so let’s go!!!1!!1!11! This will be divided into two parts, the first being where I talk about the origin and nature of the world of WL which isn’t really the most relevant for the story, and the second half will be about events that are relevant and did want to try and touch on in the series but I eventually scrapped doing that altogether because um this story is about the main characters not the other guys (Iwaslazycoughcough) Also most of this was figured out while I was in the process of making the comic but hey most of it fits PART 1 First things first the one thing in this section that is completely set into stone is that these freaks fundamentally aren’t actually warrior cats and I don’t mean like they aren’t connected to the time continuum of the actual series or that the way reality works in this world is highly unserious for the sake of comedy no you guys probably already know both. What I mean is that none of WL takes place on earth (WHICH CANONICALLY DOES STILL EXIST IN THE UNIVERSE OF WL) but on a separate planet and that all of these freaks are not cats + one dog but in fact aliens. All animal aliens. There are no humanoid aliens. No humanoids or humans exist on their planet. I’m not even joking this is the lore for my convenience and that is why their world is extremely goofy and why no one refers to themselves as “cats” but as “people” and that is why there are no other “real” animals (as you’ve probably noticed from chapter 4) I think the only thing I’ve ever said to contradict this was in the description of chapter 20 but like it’s a description bro I can edit it and it’ll be gone forever. Yes Dogestar is a separate species there also are more “dogs” like her you’ll understand later. “WHY.” I hear you asking me. “WHY IS THIS THE LORE? THIS IS BA—“ IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED you see once upon a time there was no planet but instead very few stars and the vast emptiness of space. Three of these stars who are for some reason named Lemon, Quirk, and Onion I think are besties and Lemon and Onion are like “Bro quirk we have all these cool of ideas” and Quirk replies “neato I’ll be the dm” So quirk creates this beautiful world with the goofiest most foolish game mechanics, and the other two create “cats and dogs” but I haven’t decided which does which. Actually I don’t even think they should be cats and dogs they should have evolved into it by the time of WL but there are definitely two distinct species. They hang out with and on their creations and Lemon gets kind of jealous of Quirky and Onion because their getting romantic with each other and Lemon likes Quirk but he doesn’t do anything so his jealousy manifests into this disgusting creature that kills Onion and turns him into a star in the sky. And Lemon gets blamed for all of this unfortunately, and for reasons the dogs aliens leave, and some cat aliens leave (and those cats will eventually be Leafclan) Also the other two have to die or go back to being stars in the sky because of the dialogue that happened when was coerced Sunny into the Moonpool about stars existing (I don’t know what I had in mind for the ending at that point but until I made this project stars in their sky weren’t supposed to exist until the end of the series) AND I REFUSE TO RETCON EVER. RETCONS ARE FOR COWARDS. WE BALL. Quirk, after realizing people could die, made a special place to keep souls that passed on in her world where they could stay and eventually reunite with their loved ones forever instead of just turning into stars when they passed. Quirk was also the last one to go and she was around for a while, long enough that she saw everyone gradually evolve into cats. She made versions of the friends she lost but they weren’t good replacements, so she made a copy of herself and left. These copies could all have children and so had descendants hence why Radar looks so much like Quirkstar. All of these copies had the same name as the original stars but with star in the end which continued as a tradition of naming leaders but also everyone’s forgotten why the tradition exists so it’ll probably be eventually dropped or changed by the cats. And presumably the Quirk replica was probably the one who made the recordings introducing new souls to Starclan. Look at me saying probably I don’t even know the lore to my own story—

Description

Cont. from above )) Also there is obviously one moon that was originally supposed to be involved with the ending to WL but now just sits there to be a checkovs gun what is it who is there when did this moon appear is the weird evil shadow thing the cause of the moons phases??? that’s for me not to know ;) Also, with evolution being canonical I can make canonical continuations of the series in the same universe that don’t involve warrior cats which is a little sad for Sunny and everyone else but means I can do literally whatever I want because at the end of the day the lore was mostly to ensure that still had creative freedom with this series you see guys you see what I mean you think I’m playing rock paper scissors but I’m actually playing 4d chess— Oh, and where do visions come from? Maybe they’re from the moon. But I don’t know for sure. No one knows. :| they just happen. And those who receive them have special eyes. PART 2 Okay. Onto more relevant stuff that are closer in time to the events of WL. This will be in a slightly more serious manner as the events that set the stage for WL are darker. Which kind of goes without saying, as most of it is about Wisestar. And if I stated in chapter 51 that you aren’t old enough to read WL, you definitely aren’t old enough to read this. TW. EVIL. VILE, DISGUSTING, REMORSELESS, MURDEROUS ACTIONS ON THE PART OF WISESTAR. HE IS NOT A GOOD GUY. THIS ISN’T A FUN READ. This tragedy starts in Lemonclan, when Wisestar was very young. There was probably something inherently very, very wrong with him. World breakingly wrong. He is a defect, in his very soul. All cats and dogs created by the stars were fundamentally good natured souls. Hence the peace. No matter how twisted someone seemed to be, there was a fundamentally good nature at their center. I suppose this was the case for Wisestar once. He just wanted the attention of his father, who was also a leader once. But his father pretended he didn’t exist, and instead all his attention was poured towards the young, full of potential Lunestar. But Wisestar’s father was the only person he had. Other than that, he was all alone. Wisestar’s grew jealous. Mean. Malicious. A desire to please his father turned into resentment and spite. towards his father. towards Lunestar. Lunestar was slated to become the next leader of Lemonclan, and is starting a family, pregnant with two children. She obviously isn’t at her most powerful at this point. And Wisestar has the sickening idea to take advantage of this. Wisestar attacks her. Lunestar’s husband Scarletsun is killed in his attempt to protect her. And Lunestar, desperate to survive and ensure a future for her two children, gives Wisestar her position as deputy in exchange for her life. And Wisestar doesn’t even want the position for the attention. He just wants to spite his father, and see both him and Lunestar fall. Eventually he kills his father, and becomes leader. But he doesn’t feel anything. And when Lunestar suddenly leaves one night for Onionclan, he grows enraged. Lunestar grows her family in Onionclan, and eventually, she becomes leader there, and Wisestar’s anger grows. He hates Lunestar. He hates the idea of her being happy. He hates everything about her. He finds Dogestar. And later he finds Buddy and Willow, who are realistically probably from Leafclan? So are they related to Chickadee…? Don’t really know. But Wil isn’t Chickadee’s mom. Chickadee’s mom is a separate character. Wisestar’s plots to destroy Onionclan just to spite Lunestar, all in secret. He goes with Wil and Xenith. But there is a flood. Lunestar drowns. Will also drowns, but lives. And Wisestar was supposed to drown, but Wil saves Xenith, an action that ends up saving Wisestar. In an attempt to fix her mistake, she feeds Wisestar death berries. Which are just death berries. No, yew does not exist on this planet. Just death bush. But Wil is caught by Dogestar, who is distraught by her apparent betrayal, and decides to kill her and make an example out of her. And when Wil and the rest of Starclan try to fix this in the afterlife, they are locked away. And that’s kind of all there is to say. I am a little sad that I didn’t get to touch on any of this, because that means that with WL on its own Wisestar just isn’t very fleshed out and that is very sad for my story. ALSO Chickadee does have a brother he’s mentioned only once in chapter nine because he was supposed to be a really important character but now he is not. However, as I said, I would never retcon on purpose, so he does exist, but he’s an absolute jerk who blames Chickadee for their mom’s death, and just doesn’t talk to his family. Alright. That was it. Thank you for listening to my disorganized ramble. Have a good day:)
