Following reports of a mobilization by Purrqing, Askaria struck fast. Formations were already on standby due to preexisting plans. 395 planes, mostly fighter-bombers were deployed to bomb Purrqing military ports, factories, and airfields. Ground formations were of limited priority due to high distance. The naval attacks reported minor success, one cruiser sunk, 2 minesweepers, and a handful of patrol boats. Air raids overall did not see the success the Askaris hoped for due to the missing intelligence. 30 Askari planes were destroyed. Around the same time, a ground invasion commenced, with 50,000 troops being assigned to the invasion, with 300 tanks. Being naturally skilled in jungle combat, much higher losses were inflicted. Due to the small front, limited troops could be deployed and only marginal gains taken. 2000 Askari dead (no data on wounded) 6000 Purrqing casualties (no further info specified)
