When the ender runs nearby it them and any nearby survivor will be frozen in time for 5 seconds. Lore: Alan was an agent at a science lab. He would find illegal objects and bring them back. The scientists gave him new tech, time tech, Alan made a miscalculation when time traveling and accidentally Forsakened himself. Most of his tech is busted. But some of it is still active and helps him survive the terrible fate he's been given
