The footage is of a home recording of The Weather Channel on Comcast in 2007. Although there might be a Digital Recording, this person decided to use a VHS tape. T he footage shows The Weather Channel switching to Local on the 8's after a commercial break. After, a Emergency Alert for a Tornado Warning flashed on screen. The alert that played seemed to be a modified version of the alert that originally was supposed to play. The instructions were modified to make the viewers bring danger upon themselves. It is unknown if it was a EASyplus Decoder error, or a broadcast intrusion. The alert tones do not display any information once decoded, and scroll text at the bottom seems to be missing. After this alert, about 84 deaths occured around the St. Louis Area. Comcast responded to this alert, saying: "We do not know what happened. We are sorry for the damages we caused. We promise this will not happen again."
