After the SAT orbital defenses were proven old and ineffective, the nation has started rebuilding its old defenses. Works on the satellites are already completed since Marcia left the earth, I would guess the satellites went inactive. Work has also be put in the orbital cannons made to protect SAT from any space ships. They have heavy 200mm cannon made to fire off high powered energy shots that on many testing shots have pierced mountains. It also has a crew managing its shield and autofire system as well as robots that protect them on the ground. The guns(+satellites) have the new 81-UPA(Ultra Protect Aulitactor). The newest and proven best batch of SAT shields thus far. Weirdly enough, SAT had never made its own spaceships. Which was a missed opportunity since like with leftover portal tech, wormhole generators, and lasers. Many ship parts were left. So the SAT has its first ships. While only testing and premature, they will be tested in SAT next war when it comes for better trouble shooting then the tests. With all this work comes funding, which SATs large population of 940 million can help with. While calling itself a technocrat, SAT is weird. The nation is very prideful, hold election, acts very much like a communist with everyone having access to what they need but being high quality. Jobs still are needed to make it in SAT culture which are the main source of tax funds. Inflation is very low in SAT, even with so many people, connection to priceless metals (Like gold, silver, nickel, Copper, Iron, and on rare occasions diamond) lets them keep the price low. SAT's location helps as well. Having both Chile(top copper producer) and Australia(A large holder of gold) lets SAT get money that it sends towards more jobs, more jobs like construction and mining means more copper and gold, more copper and gold means more money. You get it.
