I really appreciate Earth Day for multiple reasons, really. And down below are just the reasons why I love Earth Day. 1) One of the reasons I appreciate Earth Day is that I like how on this day people try to clean up the Earth. As a nature-ish person, I want this world to be clean to all kinds of living things. There is a lot of trash on Earth's beaches and even inside the ocean. Cleaning up and recycling after ourselves is the least we could do after all the other bad things we've done to it! Yes, you also probably littered before, maybe by accident and without knowing it, but you definitely did, like everyone else. Just try to clean up after yourself now! 2) I honestly just in general kind of love helping Earth to grow healthier after all of the stuff it's been through; smoke, pollution, fires, etc. And Earth Day kind of gives me a reason to plant new life. Simple seeds grow into flowers which produce pollen which the bees and other pollinators collect and that pollen gets dropped off somewhere else and seeds start growing from there as well and the cake just keeps on going on and on and on. Most Earth Days I've lived through I have planted a small pine tree which sometimes the schools give you. And a pine tree from - like- over 4 years ago has grown up to about 3 feet tall! I'm so proud of him. 3) People coming together to just help the environment just makes my heart feel so happy and warm. I know that kind of sounds sappy but it's kind of true. When people come together without any (mostly) violence, it's kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Because just like in many fantasies, real life also has danger, and fights, and w@r. So, this really is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing. So, next time, whenever you don't participate in Earth Day activities, just remember. This might never happen again. Even if Earth Day is here every day, that doesn't mean that you might be there ((hopefully you will)), and it also doesn't mean that Earth might be there ((hopefully it will)) because of all the bad stuff it has to face.
