No. Not Asterquest. Not Star. It wasn't fair. That was Cosmosfire's mantra now- /It wasn't fair/. It was the thing that was holding him together, at this point, the idea that he didn't deserve this and that his family deserved a better- a better life. He was in his nest, as he had been for days. He couldn't do anything without it making him think of someone he had lost. Even laying here reminded him of Asterquest, and when they had lost Mama as kits. He remembered the fish they had shared in the nursery when Asterkit had been too sad to eat. Maybe it was fair that he had to hurt so much. He had vowed to take care of Asterquest and Rosebloom, and that hadn't exactly worked. At all. Maybe he deserved this. He couldn't think like that... right? He could, he could fight for his Clan in the war with MossClan, he could... But why did it matter? There was no one left in FlurryClan that truly mattered to him. No one that he had talked to more than once, in all honesty. He didn't have a purpose anymore, did he? For so long, his entire driving force had been his family. The thing that made him want to be the best warrior he could be. His whole /world/. Maybe it was his fault that his family was all gone, but... that couldn't be. Cosmosfire had loved his family with everything he had. He /couldn't/ deserve this. But what was he supposed to do now? He was all alone. He didn't have anyone to protect. Maybe he just had to find someone who needed protection.
